Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has held bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Damodardas Modi, ahead of the Third India-Africa Forum Summit.
The President landed in India earlier in the day and addressed a business luncheon with captains of industry before engaging in bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi.
During the talks, the two leaders discussed the importance of economic cooperation and growing trade and investment.
They also looked at progress made in implementing the decisions of the 9th Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC); reforming the United Nations Security Council and hosting the India, Brazil, South Africa (IBSA) Forum Summit by India.
“President Zuma also invited Prime Minister Modi to pay a visit to South Africa in 2016,” said the Presidency.
The India-Africa Forum Partnership was established in 2008 and remains an important structured African partnership to address the challenges faced by the continent.
