Pres Zuma sends condolences to Mexico

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has expressed condolences to the government and people of the United Mexican States following the devastating tropical storms that has claimed more than 80 lives in Mexico.

Expressing his condolence, President Zuma said: “We mourn with the Government and the people of Mexico as they come to terms with the effects of the devastating storm, leaving behind trail of destruction and death.

"The people of South Africa share the pain and loss of the loved ones, their homes and property and our thoughts and prayers go to the affected families”.

There have been no reports of South Africans that are stranded in Mexico. The South African Mission in Mexico will monitor the situation. - SAnews.gov.za
