Zuma wishes grandparents well

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has wished all grandparents in South Africa a happy and blessed Grandparents Day, as the world celebrates the day on Sunday.

“On behalf of government and the people of South Africa, I wish all grandparents a joyous and blessed Grandparents Day. We encourage all South Africans and young people in particular, to respect and protect their grandparents and be vanguards for the elders’ rights and wellbeing,” said Zuma.

Zuma encouraged families and households to ensure that due attention is paid to grandparents during Grandparents Day, in the same manner that mothers and fathers are feted on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in the country. – SAnews.go.za
