Zuma wishes Former Deputy Minister a speedy recovery

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has wished Dr Jean Swanson-Jacobs, former Deputy Minister of Social Development, who is seriously ill in a hospital in Cape Town, a speedy recovery.

Dr Swanson-Jacobs served as Social Development Deputy Minister until 2009.

"She made her mark as Social Development Deputy Minister especially with regards to the fight against drugs and substance abuse. We urge that Dr Swanson-Jacobs and her family be kept in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult period,'' said Zuma. – SAnews.gov.za
