Women's dept shows support for PinkDrive

Pretoria – The Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities is expected to attend the PinkDrive – Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour, to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Launched in 2009, PinkDrive is a non-profit organisation, which powered South Africa’s first mobile mammography and educational units through the country, with the message that ‘Early Detection Saves Lives’.

These units provide a free service to all South African Women who are medically uninsured. To date, PinkDrive has provided over 5 500 free mammograms, educated over 90 000 women and men, and done over 58 000 clinical examinations. – SAnews.gov.za
