Win big at Premier Business Awards

Tuesday, February 12, 2019

The Department of Trade and Industry (dti) has urged local companies to enter the annual SA Premier Business Awards (SAPBA) ahead of the deadline for entries.

The awards, which are presented by the dti, Proudly South African and Brand South Africa, encourage entrepreneurs to compete in categories that are aligned to the strategic focus of the department’s Industrial Policy Action Plan (IPAP).

“The SAPBA recognise and honour the spirit of success and innovation, acknowledge enterprises which create jobs and demonstrate good business ethics,” said the dti ahead of the 22 February deadline.

Winners of various categories are able to use the awards’ seal of approval on their labelling, packaging, marketing and other collateral.

The categories that companies can enter are Black Industrialist, Enterprise Development, Export, Investor, Manufacturers, Play Your Part, Proudly South African, SMME, Women-Owned and Youth-Owned.

“Qualifying companies are urged to enter for one or more categories. All submissions will be subject to adjudication by an expert panel of judges who are currently being appointed and whose names will be announced soon,” said the department.

Entry forms as well as more information on the awards can be obtained from www.sapremierbusinessawards.co.za or on 0861 843 384.

Hand delivered entries will close at 3:30pm while online entries will close at midnight on Friday, 22 February.

The awards have been held since 2013. – SAnews.gov.za
