Typical winter conditions to dominate SA this week

Monday, August 3, 2026

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says typical winter conditions are expected across the country this week, with some cold fronts passing south of South Africa.

“No significant weather is expected. Monday’s conditions will be fine and cool to warm, but partly cloudy in places, with isolated showers and rain along the east coast and adjacent interior,” the weather service said.

SAWS said forecasts and warnings will be updated as the likelihood and severity of impacts become clearer.

The public is also advised to remain cautious of unauthorised or unverified information sources and to refrain from sharing such information. — SAnews.gov.za
