Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has appointed Thami Ka Plaatjie as a non-executive member of the Board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
Ka Plaatjie replaces Peter Harris, who resigned as a member of the board last year.
The President has also designated Ka Plaatjie as the Deputy Chairperson of the SABC Board.
"I wish Mr Ka Plaatjie all the best in his new responsibilities and we are confident that he will serve to the best of his ability," President Zuma said in a statement.
