President Cyril Ramaphosa has sent his condolences to Zimbabwe following a horrific accident that claimed 47 lives.

“On behalf of the people of South Africa, we send our deepest condolences to the Zimbabwean government, particularly the families who lost their loved ones.

“Our prayers and thoughts are with you and we wish you strength during this time of grief,” said President Ramaphosa.

The accident happened on Wednesday when two buses collided on a road between the capital Harare and the eastern town of Rusape.

“We appeal to all travelling between South Africa and Zimbabwe or our neighboring countries to always exercise caution. Road carnage robs us of our breadwinners and delay our family developments,” said the President. – SAnews.gov.za
