Pretoria – Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini will be one of several panelists, who will participate at the upcoming meeting of the United Nations High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
The meeting on Tuesday will be held at the United Nations headquarters, New York, from 30 June to 9 July 2014.
As a panellist, the Minister will also make a presentation during the Ministerial Dialogue on “Long term measures to make poverty eradication irreversible and reduce inequalities”.
In a statement, the department said the meeting will be held under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
The meeting is being held under the theme, “Achieving the Millennium Development Goals and charting the way for an ambitious post-2015 development agenda, including the Sustainable Development Goals”. – SAnews.gov.za
