SA, Lesotho to discuss border issues

Pretoria - Home Affairs Minister Naledi Pandor will on Thursday visit Maseru in Lesotho to discuss establishing a one-stop border post with the country, among other things.

The minister will meet with her counterpart, Joang Molapo, on 27 and 28 April.

Their talks will be based on the issues raised at the Joint Bilateral Commission for Cooperation between South Africa and Lesotho which was held in April.

Issues on the agenda during the meeting also include an agreement on the facilitation of cross border movement, the Ongeluksnek and Monontsa Border posts and a special dispensation for unskilled labourers.

The upgrading of the Maseru Bridge will also be discussed. – SAnews.gov.za
