Probe into Limpopo bus accident

Pretoria - Transport Minister Dipuo Peters says her department is working closely with local authorities to establish the cause of the bus accident that claimed the lives of 10 people in Magoebaskloof, Limpopo.

According to emerging reports, a passenger bus carrying worshippers to Moria overturned on the R528 in Magoebaskloof on Sunday afternoon, claiming the lives of 10 people.

Sixty other people were injured and treated for wounds ranging from minor to severe.

“The cause of the crash is still being rigorously investigated as the events leading to the fatal crash are unknown at this nascent stage of the investigation. A report will be released as soon as the investigation is concluded,” said Minister Peters.

She conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased. “We wish those who sustained injuries a quick and full recovery.” – SAnews.gov.za
