Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has congratulated Roch Marc Christian Kabore on his election as President of Burkina Faso following the presidential elections held on 29 November 2015.
President Zuma also congratulated the people of Burkina Faso for conducting a peaceful, transparent, credible, free and fair election, as declared by the African Union and Economic Community of West African States election observer teams.
President Zuma also commended all other candidates who immediately accepted the results, thus showing commitment to democratic principles.
He also expressed his commitment to continue working closely with President Kabore to enhance the good bilateral relations that exist between South Africa and Burkina Faso. – SAnews.gov.za
