President Zuma cancels Mozambique visit

Pretoria – President Jacob Zuma has announced his decision to cancel his visit to Maputo, Mozambique where he was due to attend the SADC Regional Summit on Infrastructure Investment on Thursday.

The announcement came after the President visited former President Nelson Mandela in hospital on Wednesday evening at around 10pm.

According to the Presidency, Madiba, who was admitted to hospital on 8 June for a recurring lung infection, is still in a critical condition.

Zuma was briefed by the doctors who are still doing everything they can to ensure Madiba’s well-being.

He reiterated his gratitude on behalf of government, to all South Africans who continue to support the Madiba family.  – SAnews.gov.za
