The crash occurred in the Zagros Mountain Range on Sunday, killing all 60 passengers and six crew members on board.

It is reported that the Aseman Airlines flight EP3704 disappeared from radar about 50 minutes after take-off from Tehran's Mehrabad Airport.

“We extend our condolences to President Hasan Rouhani, the government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“The South African people stand with the Iranian people, particularly the families of the victims, during this time of mourning,” President Ramaphosa said on Monday. - SAnews.gov.za
