President assents to the Auditing Profession Amendment Act

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has assented to the Auditing Profession Amendment Act 2015, which among other things seeks to regulate candidate auditors.

The Act seeks to include candidate auditors in the requirements for registration and to put them under the responsibility of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors.

It also seeks to give registered candidate auditors the opportunity to gain exposure in practice to a broad range of issues faced by registered auditors before the candidate auditors become registered auditors themselves. – SAnews.gov.za
