Presidency takes exception to Prof Jansen’s comments

Pretoria - The Presidency says it takes exception to the comments made by University of the Free State Vice-Chancellor Professor Jonathan Jansen.

“The Presidency takes strong exception to the comments attributed to University of the Free State Vice-Chancellor Professor Jansen that the Presidency lies when it provides the media and the public with updates on the condition of former President Nelson Mandela.

“This is a serious accusation that casts aspersions on the integrity of the Presidency,” the Presidency said in a statement.

The Presidency said Professor Jansen should prove his allegation or retract his comments. - SAnews.gov.za
