Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has returned to Pretoria following his working visit to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where he attended the Emergency East African Community (EAC) Heads of State and Government Summit.
The Summit was convened to discuss the situation in Burundi.
The summit resolved amongst others, that Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the EAC countries should engage with all affected parties in Burundi to find a solution.
South Africa played a key role in the negotiations that helped to bring peace and stability in Burundi a few years ago.
President Zuma was accompanied by International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane. – SAnews.gov.za
