Pretoria - Police say they are investigating the video showing a young woman being attacked and killed at the hands of a mob.
The video was circulated worldwide and being rebranded as a political act, however there is a belief that this video might be an old mob justice killing that has been rebranded as a political act.
Acting SAPS spokesperson David Barritt says they have so far been unable to establish the veracity of the video.
“The matter is being investigated by senior police officers. SAPS have told the Ministry it can find no reports of such an incident. It is now trying to narrow down the possible areas where it might have taken place by analysing the footage,” Barritt said. – SAnews.gov.za
