North West brings its A-game to Africa's Travel Indaba

Tuesday, May 8, 2018

The North West Tourism Board is making the most of Africa’s Travel Indaba, which is currently underway in Durban.

North West Tourism MEC Desbo Mohono is attending the indaba and will focus on attracting investors in line with the province’s villages, townships and small dorpies tourism strategy.

The MEC will also ensure that there is integration and coordination in her department’s drive to woo investors.

Africa’s Travel Indaba is an established top travel show, which provides opportunities for the tourism industry to partake in the South African leisure tourism show.

The 2018 North West Province exhibitors comprise a wide range of product owners who are ready and well positioned to showcase at the continent's biggest and best travel trade show, drawing exhibitors from across the continent.

It offers travel buyers an unrivalled platform to do business with the cream of the African leisure tourism industry.

Companies like Sun City, through Sun Intentional, Pilanesburg National Park, Madikwe Game Reserve Lodge and many other major attractions are using the stage created to amplify and position the North West as a prime and preferred destination.

The game changer for the province this year is to ensure service excellence.

The North West Department of Tourism, together with its entity The North West Tourism Board, wants to assist tour operators to sell the diversity of attractions and experiences available to tourists.

Opportunities are created for product owners and service providers to meet buyers face to face, gain competitive advantage in the sector and meet other sales representative from other African countries and international exhibiting companies with the view of doing direct business with them. – SAnews.gov.za
