NHTL sends condolences to Kutama's family

Pretoria - The National House of Traditional Leaders (NHTL) has sent their deepest condolences to the bereaved royal family, the Kutama Traditional Community, the Limpopo HTL and Limpopo provincial government following the death of former chairperson, Khosi Vho-Fhumulani Peter Kutama.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing on of his Majesty (Kutama). Although towards the end of last month his health deteriorated, he looked relatively well," said spokesman of the NHTL, Mandlenkosi Linda.

Linda said the NHTL holds the late traditional leader, who died last week, in high esteem as a former chairperson and valued the many things he achieved during his traditional leadership in South Africa.

A memorial service will be held in Polokwane on Thursday, but the venue and time are yet to be confirmed by the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders.

The late Kutama will be laid to rest at his home village of Tshikwarani, west of Makhado in Limpopo, on Saturday. uneral proceedings will commence at 8am.
