Pretoria- President Jacob Zuma has appointed Leah Thabisile Khumalo, as non-executive director of the Board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
Khumalo’s appointment is effective immediately until 24 September 2018, said the Presidency on Wednesday.
"We wish her all the best in this critical task of executing the country's public broadcasting mandate," said President Zuma.
Khumalo’s appointment follows on the resignation of Noluthando Gosa in November last year.
“President Zuma thanked Ms Gosa for her contribution to taking forward the work of the public broadcaster over a period of time. Ms Gosa also thanked the President for the opportunity to serve the country as Board member and wished the Board all the best going forward,” said the Presidency at the time. –SAnews.gov.za
