Pretoria - City of Tshwane Mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa unveiled the city's new logo design during the State of the City Address on Tuesday.
The logo, with the slogan 'Igniting Excellence', is a combination between the best two designs chosen from a tertiary institutions' competition.
"We requested our tertiary institutions to, through a competitive process, translate our brand values - leadership, inspiration, innovation and excellence - into an expression that captures and conveys what we are all about," said Ramokgopa.
The two students whose designs were chosen received prize money.
Ramokgopa thanked all the institutions that participated in the competition, something he said demonstrated the creativity and talent of students in Tshwane.
