New IEC Commission member appointed

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has appointed Janet Yetta Love as a member of the Electoral Commission of South Africa, according to the Presidency.

In a statement on Friday, the Presidency said Love would fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Raenette Taljaard in February 2015.

The Electoral Commission consists of five members appointed by the President on the recommendation of the National Assembly.
