Kgathatso Tlhakudi has been appointed as the new acting Director General of the Department of Public Enterprises.

Tlhakudi’s appointment follows the departure of Director General Richard Seleke.

“The Ministry of Public Enterprises has been notified by the Presidency that an agreement was reached with Mr Richard Seleke, the Director General of the Department of Public Enterprises, in terms of which Seleke will leave the public service,” said the Ministry of Public Enterprises on Wednesday.

Seleke was appointed as Director General in 2015.

The settlement is in terms of the public service rules that are administered by the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA).

“Minister Pravin Gordhan wants to express appreciation to the DPSA and the Presidency for having concluded this settlement as expeditiously as possible,” said the ministry. - SAnews.gov.za
