Pretoria - North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo will be sworn into office by the Provincial High Court Judge President, Justice Monica Leeuw, at the Provincial Legislature later this morning.
The swearing in of the Premier will be followed by the swearing in of the new Members of the Provincial Executive Council, which will be announced by Premier Mahumapelo.
The swearing in of the new MECs, who will be delegated functions to perform on behalf of the Premier in respective portfolios, will bring to an end the term of Members of the Executive Council, who served under the Thandi Modise administration.
Today’s ceremony follows the swearing in of the country’s Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa as well as 35 new ministers and 37 deputy ministers, on Monday at the Presidential Guesthouse. – SAnews.gov.za
