Pretoria – The Mpumalanga Education Department has request all learners who wrote the 2015 National Senior Certificate (NSC) supplementary examination in February/March this year to collect their statements of results from their schools.

The department has congratulated those who made the mark and encouraged those who did not meet the pass requirements to register as part-time candidates for the October/November NSC examinations.

“The deadline for registration is 29 May 2015. Parents and the community leadership are requested to support the learners this time around.

“The certificates of those who passed will be released on 30 June 2015 after the finalisation of the remark processes. Those who wish to apply for a remark must pay a prescribed fee and complete the necessary application forms by 14 May 2015,” said the department.

It said the certificates for those who didn’t write the supplementary examinations are obtainable from schools and should be collected within a period of six months.

“Those who failed to meet the pass requirements are issued with subject certificates that are also available in schools.

“The June/July NSC examinations meant for out-of-school youth above 21 years of age and adults who previously failed to satisfy requirements for the NSC will start on 1 June - 4 July 2015,” said the department.

It said the verification of registration status should be done at examination centres where the candidates have registered, and those who are not registered and those without Identity Documents will not be allowed to write examinations.
