Pretoria - Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza has conveyed his condolences to the family of Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe for the loss of his daughter.
“One cannot explain the feeling of losing a child. Our MEC has been a true champion of road safety. It is indeed sad that he lost a family member through a road accident,” Premier Mabuza said.
MEC Shongwe’s eight-year-old daughter, Sethu Shongwe, was knocked down by a car on Wednesday afternoon in Ermelo.
“May God give him and his family strength during this difficult time,” he said.
The executive council is expected to visit MEC Shongwe’s family to pay their respect and show sympathy on behalf of the provincial government and the citizens of Mpumalanga. – SAnews.gov.za
