Pretoria - The Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Susan Shabangu, has been sworn in as acting President, the Presidency said on Tuesday.
Minister Shabangu was sworn in by Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday.
She will act as President during the absence of both President Jacob Zuma and Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.
President Zuma is on his way to New Delhi, India, where he is leading a South African delegation to the Third India-Africa Forum Summit.
Deputy President Ramaphosa is also on a three-nation tour of Sweden, Cuba and Mexico. - SAnews.gov.za
