Pretoria – Science and Technology Minister, Naledi Pandor, is expected to address the 19th World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control in Cape Town this evening.
IFAC aims to promote the science and technology of automatic controls in theory and application.
It provides a platform for collaboration between individuals, organisations and institutions concerned with automatic control systems, by allowing experts in related fields to exchange ideas.
Since 1960, the congress has been held every three years and attracts academia, industry professionals, students and organisations involved in automation.
This week’s congress, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), will be held under the theme: "Promoting automatic control for the benefit of humankind". – SAnews.gov.za
