Meteor spotted in Gauteng skies

Pretoria - Gauteng was abuzz this weekend after residents spotted a meteor moving over the province in Saturday night.

Apparently the meteor, which resembled a ball of fire and burned green and blue, was spotted at around 11pm, heading towards the north of Pretoria.

Astronomers were on Monday still investigating where the meteor had landed. It was reported to have hit the earth in the Limpopo Province.
