Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma will on Thursday convene the Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission Council (PICC) Meeting in Cape Town.
The Presidency on Wednesday said the PICC, chaired by the President, will discuss progress with regards to infrastructure development in the country.
“The PICC brings together ministers, premiers and executive mayors of metropolitan councils to discuss infrastructure and ways of removing bottlenecks where these exists, in order to fast-track the delivery of infrastructure for social and economic development,” said the Presidency.
It said the last meeting, which took place at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, in April, received reports on construction progress across the full public infrastructure project pipeline, organised through 18 major Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs). - SAnews.gov.za
