Pretoria - North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo has established a Marikana Reconciliation, Healing and Renewal Committee.
“This is an all-inclusive structure that the Premier set up to respond to the need for all our people in Marikana to unite irrespective of their backgrounds.
"It is the view of the Premier that the wounds and conflict of the past can best be resolved when we collectively engage in dialogue and draw lessons from the past,” said the Office of the Premier on Wednesday.
Premier Mahumapelo is convinced that more can be achieved when government collaborates with stakeholders, hence the call for all stakeholders to join hands with government in a quest for lasting peace and stability in Marikana.
