Pretoria - Transport Minister Sbusiso Ndebele has congratulated newly appointed Director-General Mangisi George Mahlalela.
This after Mahlalela's appointment was announced after Cabinet met this week.
"We wish Mr Mahlalela well in his position as Director-General of the Department of Transport. We are confident that with his experience and expertise, the Department of Transport will grow from strength to strength and that he will serve the entire transport sector well.
"We urge all stakeholders in the transport family to support and work together with Mr Mahlalela," said Ndebele.
Mahlalela has been serving as acting Director-General of the department since September 2009.
