Pretoria - Bafana Bafana's regular goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune and defender, Tsepo Masilela have been declared medically fit for tonight's warm up match against Guatemala in Polokwane.

Head coach Carlos Parreira was forced to replace the two players after they sustained injuries during their clash against Colombia at Soccer City last Monday. Bafana beat the South American side 2-1.

Both players collided with opponents in the first half of the match. Khune got a mild knock to the backside area, while Masilela received one on the right thigh.

They were substituted at the beginning of the first half with Moeneeb Josephs replacing Khune and Lucas Thwala coming in for Masilela.

As a result, Parreira rested the two players from training for three days, pending a medical assessment by the team's medical doctor today.

This morning, Bafana media officer, Matlhomola Morake told BuaNews the duo went through a medical assessment and have been confirmed fit.

"Both players are fine and ready for tonight's match, they were all declared medically fit," he said.

Bafana will play against the Central American team which is ranked 115 in the FIFA World rankings.

Bafana have already played against two South American teams in preparing for the World Cup.

A week ago, they drew 1-1 against Bulgaria before their 2-1 victory over Colombia last Thursday at Soccer City.

Parreira hopes to familiarise his players with the South American style of football ahead of their World Cup opening match against one of the regions tough teams, Mexico on 11 June at Soccer City.

The host nation has been drawn against Uruguay and France in Group A of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
