Pretoria – Newly appointed Deputy Science and Technology Minister Zanele KaMagwaza-Msibi is to be sworn in at the Union Buildings later today.

KaMagwaza-Msibi, the National Freedom Party (NFP) leader, replaces Mike Masutha, who is now serving as Justice Minister.

She was sworn in as a National Assembly Member of Parliament last month.

In the national and provincial elections held last month, the NFP won national representation with six seats in the National Assembly and one in the National Council of Provinces.

Prior to starting her own party, KaMagwaza-Msibi was national chairperson of the Inkatha Freedom Party. She left to launch her own party three years ago.
