Judgment on Presidential Handbook welcomed

Pretoria – The Presidency on Sunday said it welcomed the order made by the North Gauteng High Court confirming the undertaking made by the Presidency to avail the Presidential Handbook on or before 30 November 2015.

The Presidency said it will accordingly submit the handbook as ordered by the court. 

This follows after AfriForum had sought the disclosure of certain confidential documents.

“The Presidency therefore also welcomes the court's clarity that AfriForum is not entitled to invoke the Promotion of Access to Information Act to access Cabinet documents.” – SAnews.gov.za
