Durban - Home Affairs Minister, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, is expected to conduct visits to her department's provincial offices from Monday.

She will begin with the eThekwini Home Affairs Regional Office in Durban.

The minister plans to pay a working visit to all provincial Home Affairs offices as part of ensuring high quality and professional service to South Africa by government officials.

"During the visit, the minister will interact with both Home Affairs officials as well as members of the public to witness first-hand the quality of service being rendered by the regional offices to the broader public," the department said in a statement.

In this regard, Minister Dlamini-Zuma will use the opportunity to inspect the facilities at the regional offices to examine whether such facilities meet the necessary standards for service delivery.

Following her visit to Durban, Minister Dlamini-Zuma will proceed to Cape Town, ahead of the scheduled State of the Nation Address by President Jacob Zuma scheduled for Wednesday
