Govt sends condolences to Gauteng MEC's family

Pretoria - Government has expressed its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Nkosiphendule Kolisile.

Government on Saturday learnt with great sadness and shock at the passing away of MEC Kolisile. According to media reports Kolisile and two others were killed in a head-on collision in the Free State in the early hours of the morning.

Acting GCIS CEO and Cabinet Spokesperson, Phumla Williams said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time of bereavement. Kolisile served our country with excellence, dignity and integrity and he will be sorely missed. He was indeed a great role model. May his soul rest in peace”.

Kolisile was a Member of the Executive Council for Economic Development of the Gauteng Provincial Government. – SAnews.gov.za
