The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) has received a fourth successive clean audit opinion.
It is also the first clean audit outcome under the new Board of Directors, led by the Executive Chairperson Sifiso Mtsweni.
The NYDA said the report by the Auditor General of South Africa affirms the Board's commitment to maintaining clean governance and a high-performance culture. It also provides a clear indication of strides by the agency to fulfil its mandate.
The audit outcome also shows efforts by the agency to direct resources to programmes aimed at fighting poverty, reducing high youth unemployment and inequality.
“We thank members of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, Executive and Senior Management staff and all employees for yet another success. Achieving a successive clean audit demonstrates the willingness and the readiness of young people to lead government agencies to the best interest of South Africa,” said Mtsweni. – SAnews.gov.za
