Eskom confirms Koko's resignation

Eskom has confirmed the resignation of group executive Matshela Koko with immediate effect.
“Eskom can confirm that it has received a letter from Mr Matshela Koko which stated that he’d like to resign from Eskom with immediate effect,” said Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe in a tweet on Friday.
In July last year, the power utility announced that it had received a report regarding allegations of impropriety against Koko.
Koko announced his suspension in a tweet at the end of January. – SAnews.gov.za
