Electric fault causes Tuynhuys evacuation

Pretoria - An electric fault has led to staff being evacuated at Tuynhuys, the Presidency building in Cape Town.

In a statement on Monday, the Presidency said that early on Monday, it received information that smoke was coming out from one of the offices at Tuynhuys.

“The Emergency Management Services investigated and reported the source of the smoke to be an electric fault. There was no fire and no damage occurred to the building,” said the Presidency. – SAnews.gov.za
