EC villages gear up for imbizo

Pretoria – Amathole District Municipality (ADM) mayor, Nomasikizi Konza, will on Monday visit Mente and Kanga villages in Mnquma Local Municipality to engage in a social dialogue with communities about fast-tracking service delivery.

“This is a government of the people and it is our core business to ensure that they are heard and given a platform to highlight their areas of concern, so we can all together come up with ways to address [their issues].

“We therefore appeal to our communities to come out in their numbers so that they can hear first-hand what the government is bringing to them and to further present the opportunity to interact with the leadership directly,” said Konza.

Ahead of this imbizo, Konza handed over a total of 179 toilet units to the communities of Koloman in Ngqikana village and Langdraai in Nkonkobe and Amahlathi Local Municipalities, respectively.

Konza will be accompanied by Mnquma Local Municipality mayor, Mntuwoxolo Baba Ganjana.

The imbizo will be held just outside of Mente Senior Secondary School at 9am. – SAnews.gov.za
