Drug peddler nabbed at OR Tambo

Pretoria - A 34-year-old woman, who was arrested for drug dealing, will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The woman was arrested by members of the Trans-National Investigation Team of the South African Police Service (SAPS) based at OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday after being found with cocaine wrapped around her body.

“The arrest followed shortly after members of the team conducted a routine search and discovered cocaine wrapped around her body weighing 2.36 kilograms,” police said on Monday.

The suspect was in transit to Angola from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

“Communities at large are called upon to continue to expose those in their midst who engage in drug related crimes such as drugs are destroying the very future of our society,” SAPS said.
