Diepsloot mother to appear in court

Pretoria - The mother of a seven-month-old Diepsloot baby, who was found dead at the weekend, will appear at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court today.

Police had arrested the 23-year-old mother in the Randburg CBD on Tuesday after she had been on the run since the discovery of her son’s body, who was allegedly attacked by rats.

The mother has been charged with child neglect and murder.

This incident is the latest in a series of child related crimes in the township. – SAnews.gov.za
