Pretoria - KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo is set to visit Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital to speak to patients and address problems reported at the hospital.
Dhlomo's visit on Tuesday follows a number of complaints raised by the public regarding unacceptable treatment they receive from the hospital staff.
The concerns include nurses' negative attitude, disappearance of corpses and long queues.
Dlomo said the visit aims to empower the people to have a voice in how healthcare services are delivered to them
"It opens a more meaningful debate on how resources are used and make delivery accountable to those it is there to serve," he said.
