Pretoria- Social Development Deputy Minister Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu will attend the launch of the PinkDrive mobile mammography unit.
The Deputy Minister will support PinkDrive and their main sponsors which include the government of Japan in South Africa, Brdigestone and Strahler Medical among others in the launch of the mobile unit at the Strahler Medical office in Pretoria on Tuesday.
The Deputy Minister will attend the pre-launch of PinkDrive Mobile Mammography Unit (Mammo3).
According the department, Mammo 3 has a separate horse and trailer system, which means more space for the state of the art mammography equipment.
Like Mammo2, the truck also has facilities for gynaecology services, thus enabling Mammo3 to offer a full, all-inclusive women’s health offering. The new design has also provided space so that the generator could be built into the truck, taking away the burden of towing any loose standing equipment.
Mammo3 will be added to the Pink fleet and for now, offer its services where the need arises.-SAnews.gov.za
