DAFF spokesperson calls it a day

Department of Agriculture and Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) communication director Steve Galane has resigned as department spokesperson following 20 years of service in the public service.

In a brief statement, Galane said it was an honour to serve in the public service for 20 years. His last day was on 29 March 2019. He was previously a communication director in the Department of Environmental Affairs.

“I have taken a decision to resign from the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as Director: Communication Services and Departmental Spokesperson,” he said.

Galane thanked the media and government for the opportunity to work in the sector. He expressed his intention to continue interacting with the media.
