Public Service and Administration Minister Faith Muthambi has sent condolences to the family of the late Hosi Xithlangoma James Maluleke Shigalo of the Shigalo area in Limpopo.

Hosi Shigalo (popularly known as Hosi Stapura) was one of the Senior Traditional Leaders in the Malamulele Constituency, who worked closely with Minister Muthambi in various community development projects.

He would always abandon his busy schedule to accompany the Minister whenever she was in the area for various campaigns such as digital migration, back to school campaigns, social cohesion projects and crime prevention initiatives.

Hosi Shigalo was dearly loved by the communities of his villages and by the entire community of the Malamulele area.

He will always be remembered for his sense of fashion and style, as many people would always be thrilled by his unique leather jacket and hat.

Hosi Shigalo was always with the people throughout their struggles, advocating for his community to get better service delivery.

During the opening of the Constituency Office in Malamulele, which was officiated by Minister Muthambi, Hosi Shigalo, who was in a jovial mood, told the gathering that: “The opening of the Constituency Office is a positive development for the area and that it will help in speeding up service delivery”.

“A dark cloud has reached us in our Malamulele Constituency. Waking up to the sad news of the passing of Hosi Shigalo makes all of us who had the privilege of serving with him shattered,” Minister Muthambi said.

Hosi Shigalo was known for the love and passion for the development of his community, for his inspirational eloquence, sense of humour and free spirit.

“Hosi Shigalo will indeed be missed by his family, his community, Vhanwanati Traditional Council, and fellow Traditional leaders in the Province,” Minister Muthambi. – SAnews.gov.za
