Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has extended his heartfelt condolences on the passing of late football legend, Jeff Butler, says the Presidency.

Butler was the former Kaizer Chief Coach, who guided the football club to numerous victories, including the JPS Knockout Cup, the National Soccer League championship and the BP Top Eight Cup, between1988 and 1996.

The Presidency on Monday said Jeff Butler passed away on Saturday, following a long illness.

“This is yet another huge loss to the sporting fraternity in a short space of time. We are with his family in thoughts and prayers during this trying period. May his soul rest in peace,” said President Zuma. - SAnews.gov.za
